Health & Safety will be integral to all of the above units as will knowledge
requirements.
Six week Plastering courses run on a purely practical basis covering all practical elements of the units. Knowledge information is gained from a work pack, correspondence via internet and telephone conversations with instructors.
This is achieved in your own time. When this knowledge information is returned to the centre the assessments can be completed and signed off. The centre will then apply to City & Guilds/CITB to register you for your knowledge test (set externally).
Tools and materials are supplied for plastering courses, however you will need to bring along overalls/work clothing. A change of footwear is essential.
ICA Plastering courses require you to sit a health and safety test whilst on the course which will count towards your CSCS card. (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
